Dear Mt. Zion Friends and Family, Starting on November 1st we will have a soft “reopening” of the church building. Below is a summary of what this reopening will entail.
-Worship will occur Sunday mornings, 11am. We will limit attendance in the sanctuary to 60 people. This number represents approximately 30% of the sanctuary’s capacity. There will be overflow in the Fellowship Hall, where attendance will be limited to 25 people. Our usher/greeter team reserves the right to lower capacity limits in the event of unforeseen circumstances. -There will be a video feed of the service in the Fellowship Hall. Even if the sanctuary is under the 60-person limit, people can choose to worship in the Fellowship Hall -We will continue to stream our services through Facebook Live. -Sunday School classes are permitted to meet in the Fellowship Hall during the week (or virtually), but not on Sunday morning. Remember Pastor Phil leads virtual small group meetings Wednesdays at 6:30. -Committees are permitted to meet in the Fellowship Hall, but not required to do so. Chairpersons will decide how/where meetings will occur. -Face coverings (that cover nose and mouth) are required for all individuals 3-years-old and older for all indoor gatherings. If individuals are unable to wear facemasks, we ask that they not attend indoor events, including worship. Online worship is always available. Pastor Phil apologizes for the harshness of this policy, but wants it to be strictly followed. -All family units are required to practice social distancing indoors. This means no holding babies from other families, no handshaking, no hugs, no physical contact whatsoever. Seating options will be clearly marked.
As you can see, Mt. Zion leadership has committed to the continuation of weekly in-person worship, even though the weather has pushed us indoors. We pray that these worship services are a blessing to God and our community. Please know you are invited to join us. We encourage everyone to exercise caution, and ask for you please to stay home if you exhibit even mild symptoms of illness. God bless each of you! Pastor Phil Kuntz
